This award was established in 2025 to recognize those making a measurable impact in
academics, leadership, or service in the Warrenton-Hammond School district and community.
Do you know a school staff member who has made a difference in our life, the life of a child you know, or in our community? Contact the District office if you have someone who deserves this recognition.
Each quarter, we will honor a staff or community member who is demonstrating the Warrior Spirit!
December WARRIOR Award
The December WARRIOR Award was presented at the December school board meeting to Berenice Ornelas Mendoza who has volunteered over 100 hours in the WHSD since September! She has played a pivotal role in organizing the WGS Clothing Closet, and the recently established Food Pantry. Everything she does is with a smile and a kind heart. Thank you Berenice for all you do to make the WHSD a better place for students and families!
September WARRIOR Award
September's recipient of the Warrenton Area Recognition & Reward for Inspiring Outstanding Results (WARRIOR) Award is Warrenton Grade School Family Liaison, Courtney Conant. Courtney has gone above and beyond to find ways to bring our community and families together. She is responsible for coordinating, for the 3rd year in a row, an extremely successful Warrenton Community Resource Fair. Over 300 parents and students attended from Warrenton and surrounding areas! Courtney exemplifies the Warrior Spirit and does everything she can to make sure families understand we are a kid-first and family-first school district. She understands the complexities of living on the coast and has brought our community together to help our families create avenues to valuable resources.
