District Goals

The Warrenton-Hammond School District strives to succeed in the three following areas:
 

Student Achievement

District Goal

Students will meet or exceed grade-level benchmarks in math and reading.

Board Goal

The Board will acquire knowledge of each grade level benchmark to ensure policies are aligned and resources prioritized to attain this goal.

Superintendent Goal

The superintendent will align staff, curriculum, and other resources to ensure students meet or exceed grade-level benchmarks and monitor district progress. 

 

District Goal

The District will show annual improvement in the percentage of students completing* high school.

Board Goal

The Board will acquire an understanding of the various forms of completion and the variables that impact the completion rate.

Superintendent Goal

The superintendent will identify and develop intervention methods to improve high school completion and ensure the Board is provided regular updates based on data to show progress toward attainment of increased completion rates.

 

*Completion is defined as, graduation as a part of a four-year cohort, delayed graduation (5th year), modified diploma, certificate of completion, or transfer to college/post-secondary training.

 

Stewardship of Resources

District Goal

The District will efficiently utilize all resources to meet the needs of our students.

Board Goal

The Board will ensure the district policies and budget support the efficient utilization of resources to best meet the needs of students.

Superintendent Goal

The superintendent will ensure the distribution and utilization of resources conforms to the best needs of students.

 

Communication

District Goal

Promote an effective communication strategy.

Board Goal

The Board will maintain regular communication with the community and other stakeholders through regular meetings, work sessions, community forums and other formats.

Superintendent Goal

The superintendent will facilitate effective communication within the district and between the Board and stakeholders.
