Mark L. Jeffery was hired as the Superintendent for the Warrenton-Hammond School District with his employment beginning on July 1, 2011.

Mark Jeffery’s selection as the WHSD Superintendent follows his service as Superintendent for the Willamina School District, in Willamina, Oregon from July 2009 to June 2011. Prior to working there he served as Superintendent/Principal for the Paisley School District, in Paisley, Oregon from July 2001 to June 2009.

He began his educational career as a teacher for Lake County School District in Lakeview, Oregon. He taught a variety of subjects at the middle and high school level for twelve years. In addition to his teaching duties Mr. Jeffery coached middle school volleyball, middle school track, high school ski team, and organized a middle school intramural sports program.

Mr. Jeffery graduated from South Albany High School. He received his Associate of Arts degree from Lane Community College and his Bachelors Degree from the University of Oregon. He earned a Masters of Science in Education degree from Western Oregon University. His Initial and Continuing Administrator programs were completed at the University of Oregon.

Mr. Jeffery served four years on active duty with the United States Air Force and later retired from the United States Army Reserve. While serving with the Army Reserve he spent time as an instructor at the 104th Division’s Drill Sergeant Academy conducting training at Camp Rilea.

His wife Judith is the assistant to an author who runs a ranch in central Oregon that focuses on teaming rescued horses with abused children. The Jeffery’s have four grown children and live in Hammond.
